((I have been posting to teh_reel_matrix and matrix_agents RPGs as numb3r_5ev3n, but Maritas and I got to talking, and we pretty much decided that it would be a good idea for me to write all of my in-character posts for teh_reel_matrix and the matrix_agents Matrix roleplaying games in a seperate livejournal. Thus, Anomalous Ramblings was born.))
"So there I was, on the umpteeth floor of this huge building waiting for my job interview, when nature called. To make a long story short, I took a wrong turn on the way to the facilities and wound up in this weird room with this white-bearded old dude and a lot of TV monitors.
"Uh, hi, I'm here about the tech support job..." I began.
"Yes, I know," the dude interrupted me. "I am the Architect," he said. "I created the Matrix. I've been waiting for you. You have many questions, and though the process has altered your consciousness, you remain irrevocably human. Ergo some of my answers you will understand, and some of them you will not."
"Okie Dokie. So what's all this about?" I asked.
"You are the Seventh One," he answered me. "You are Number Seven."
"That's great. The seventh what?" I asked him.
"The Oracle should make everthing clear in time. At least, as much as she generally does," he said with a hint of exasperated sarcasm in his voice.
"All right," I said.
"The door on the left will lead you to the Oracle," said the Architect, pointing to said door. "The door on the right will lead you back to your job interview and the bathroom. The little door is for Muffin to go out and piddle. I leave the choice up to you."
Well, I chose the door that led to the Oracle, and spent the rest of the afternoon baking cookies with a rather nice old lady, a cool Asian dude named Seraph, and a little girl named Sati. I still don't quite know what being the Seventh One means, but apparently I'm the first girl in the list. Let's hear it for girl power. W00t."
